I was struggling majorly with the layout of this blog in the last little while. And if I’m being honest, I am still majorly struggling!
So I decided to take a course with Canada Learning Code! No, this isn’t a paid promo. Though I seriously wish it was.
Their vision, taken directly from linked site: (Canada learning Code) We envision a prosperous Canada in which all people have the knowledge and confidence to harness the power of technology to achieve economic and personal fulfillment. We are champions for coding education in Canada, driving results through program design and delivery, strategic industry and public partnerships, research and advocacy.
My experience with Canada Learning Code was one for the books. For two days straight, I spent 3 full hours (6 in total) learning the basics of website building. I learned how to change my font colour without accessing the customization feature of my blog. I figured out how to create my own code blocks and how to apply them to my blog. I created a child theme that I am planning on building up and using in the future.
Another amazing aspect of Canada Learning Code is the fact that they charge you by what you can afford. A typical class ranges from $44-$54 CAD, put if you are quick enough you are given the option to pay as little or as much as you’d like. It’s great as it encourages everyone, no matter what your financial situation might currently be, to learn a new skill.
